I have been riding on and off for the past 20 years. Thought I understood all about motorcycle riding. After reading this book, did I get woke up! I feel for the virgin rider, this should be required reading before starting the bike (Dealers should include this book with the sale of a bike). For the veteran biker, reading Proficent Motorcycing will bring back any past horror stories and how to avoid and correct past transgretions. The pages did want to fall out of the cover, but a three hole punch and a binder fixed that problem.

This is an easy and enjoyable read. I enjoyed it better than "The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Guide to Motorcycling Excellence" book. Dave Hough writes and lays out the book in an understandable way. His humor is throughout. It was hard to put the book down and it has very useful information with real life stories and situations. It is about 250 pages in length and Dave does his own drawings.
