Turn your helmet into a brake light!!!

Riderlight® is an easy-to-install, wireless brake light system that includes a transmitter/LED brake light bulb and a water-resistant flexible receiver strip of LED lights. The transmitter bulb replaces the motorcycle's existing 1157 brake light bulb. The receiver strip attaches to the back of a helmet or other hard surface.

When the brakes are engaged, the LED's on the receiver strip illuminate for five seconds, then flash intermittently as long as the brakes are engaged. Riderlight® also has a manual emergency flasher mode. The receiver strip operates on replaceable lithium batteries (included). One transmitter bulb will trigger an infinite number of strips.

There are two versions of the RiderLight transmitter. The Plug-in LED Bulb transmitter works with any bike that uses a single 1157-style dual-element Brake/Tail light bulb. Just unplug your original bulb, and plug in the transmitter. 12 LED's on the transmitter replace your original bulb, providing the added benefit of a brighter, burnout-proof tail and brake light on the bike. Note:If you have a brakelight modulator on your bike, do not use the plug in bulb version. Get the Black Box version instead. You can also choose the "Black Box" transmitter, which simply taps into the brake light's power and ground wires on your bike, and can be installed under the seat, in the taillight housing, or just about anywhere else that you can fit it.

Each transmitter can activate an unlimited number of receivers within its range -- so if you are part of a group who have receivers on their helmets, all of them will be activated when anyone in the group hits the brakes. This provides an "Early Warning system" to others in the group, as well as autos travelling behind you! You can also get extra receivers to mount on spare helmets or passenger helmets, or extra transmitters for multiple-bikes.

Besides the obvious uses on motorcycle helmets, the RiderLight has been used in many creative ways. The flexible design allows it to be used on the back of most anything, such as saddle bags or any hard surface. The possibilities are endless.

The RiderLight receiver is totally waterproof, using a custom-cut foam tape to both adhere the receiver to the helmet and to keep moisture out of the battery compartments.

Great Idea! Unfortunately the manufacturer hasn't come up with a reliable way to attach the LED's to helmets, not mine anyway. The adhesive backing is not strong enough to hold the light bar securely. I still have no idea how I'm suppose to change out batteries when the time comes. The literature provided is poor at best. Then to add insult to injury they direct you to their web site which is totally worthless. Like I said the idea is tremendous! The finished product is pathetic. Wait before you buy unless you want to duck tape this thing to your helment (don't cover up the LEDs.) Other manufacturers will come out with this system in a well thought out manner maybe even cut a deal with a helmet manufacturer and build the system into the helmet... WAIT there are better things to come. By the way did I mention that this thing is totally worthless during daylight hours. I see the price has been cut in half ... And it's still way overpriced! If they gave this piece of junk away...
