The photo above is yet another of my near death moments on a bike! This is a still frame taken from a video. As we rounded a blind curve this idiot in a truck was crossing the center line. My back is facing the camera while Steve, you can just see his head and shoulder just above my left shoulder, and Heather are in front of me in their sidecar rig. I thought they were dead for sure and I was next! Beth is taking video of the event from the back of Kyle's dad's Wing. There were two more bikes behind them. Never found out who the moron in the truck was. you can view the video at this link>

I was laid off from CruiserCustomizing on 09/27/07 without any notice after almost 5 years of service along with 15 other employees because business is so slow. I started riding mini-bikes as far back as the mid 60's. Took the Yamaha Learn to Ride Safety Course in the early 70's. After that I begged, borrowed, and stole every bike I could, including my brother's brand new '81 XS650 Midnight Special.

Since then I've owned the following bikes:

- '84 RM125 - Didn't ride it much but it was a fun little bike

- '86 GSX-R750 - This first generation superbike ripped! It could still hold it's own even against the new breed of bikes today

- '92 DR650 - Tons-O-Fun especially in the twisties!

- '89 Sportster 883 - I hit a slick spot entering a tunnel back in '96, the bike went into massive head shake and put me down. Torn ligaments in left ankle

- '69 XLCH Sportster - I never got it runnin' and traded for a 4X4

- '95 VFR750 - Uncomfortable but fast and had that soul stirring V-4 growl with a Yosh pipe!

- '97 Marauder 800 - About the most fun I had on two wheels! Should have never sold it

- '98 GS500 - Only had about two months and sold at a profit!

- '00 1500LC - I hit and killed a bear with it on Sept. 28, 2002 and then was nearly killed by an idiot in a mini-van on July 1, 2003

- '94 R1100RS - Uncomfortable and unrefined

- '01 Marauder 800 - Seized engine due to oil filter being dislodged by road debris

- '01 Valkyrie - Truly one of the great motorcycles of all time!

- '06 Can-Am DS250 Quad - My weekend warrior, super fun!

- '85 900 Eliminator - What a rippa!

I ride every day, rain or shine. Can't imagine a life without motorcycles!
