Here is a little bit about me. I work for a major manufacturer of heavy duty on and off highway trucks. Was a diesel technician at our R&D facility and recently moved to a position in field testing. Fun job meet lots of great people but I do miss turning wrenches! Before that I painted 747's at Boeings plant in Everett for 6 years. I was basically raised on bikes. Dad and his buddies loved the European bikes of the 50's and 60's. Rickman, Norton, BSA, Triumph and Dad's favorite, Montessa. They rode them on the street and on weekends they raced them in the woods. (Hare scrambles). I raced Honda CR250's and later CR500's in desert and hair scrambles myself from the age of 15 to 33. Had to quit because of back and knee issues. Body hurts but I have lots of trophies. Fair trade? I'll tell you in 20 more years. I've had street bikes on and off for a long time. All standards. Have not had one in 8 years though, sold my last while we built our house. My wife and i got back into raising horses and have been hitting the rodeo circuit. Finally got the urge to get another bike in June 2004. Got a SMOKING deal on this 04 1600 from my buddy that owns Skagit Power Sports our local dealer. Lots done to it and more to do. I was thinking of doing some sort of custom paint on this bike but the longer I have it the more I like the stock colors. On nice spring days it is a toss up if we go on the horses or the bike.
