Hi, I'm JD. I learned to ride while in the Navy in the early 80's. I live in central Illinois with my wonderful girlfriend Janie. My current bike is a 2006 VStar 1100 custom. I bought in May 09 with 2014 miles on odometer. I've added Kuryakyn hypercharger, Cobra pipes a Mustang seat and a few other miscellaneous things. We love riding and are always planning some sort of getaway or adventure, finding some good roads to ride and meeting new people.

My girlfriend Janie has been sick for nearly two weeks, went to emergency room Thursday with temp of 102.9 and in severe pain. Cat scan revealed 5 kidney stones the largest 6mm was blocking her urethra and backed up her urine output so bad it swelled and lacerated her left kidney. She had surgery Friday morning, stones were removed and stent put in and she is now feeling much better but still in hospital. Doctor told me the kidney would eventually heal itself. Hopefully she will be able to come home today. I on the other hand have not been able to ride for a while now having only a couple hours sleep the past couple days. I was going to try to take a short ride this morning but with my sleep schedule all screwed up now and mind not focused I think I will have to wait a few more days. Bummer. Anyway all is going to be OK I just hope it doesn't rain next weekend. JD
