They're HUGE! Just the look I was wanting. I had the River road slant bags and they served their purpose but looked small on my bike. The River road bags held up well. While the Ameritex bags look great, they are thinner than the River Road bags I had. They could use some more support internally. I think this is where the manufacturer dropped the ball. I will probably look at reenforcing them myself. Used my easy brackets with these bags to switch the look of the bike in seconds. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I took a seamripper and rmv'd the cellphone case(doesn't flow with the design of the bag). Wish you could get them without the cell case. You can't. I fabbed some metal bars out of 1" wide x 3/32" thick material, and bolted them inside the bag to the EZ Bracket bolts, then bent them in toward the bike mostly in the rear so they would hug the contour of the bike. They're nice for $200 bags. I was at the Harley dealer looking at their bags. They are hard molded plastic, wrapped in leather upholstery.................$845..................Okay? Steve Ellis (SC_Steve) from Central, SC, United States, for a 2004 1100 V-Star Classic wrote: Bought the jumbo size bags for a long haul. You get what you pay for...they work, but they're not all that great. The velcro loosens and the bags flap a bit at highway speeds. Otherwise, they're servicable, but not exciting. The conchos are especially cheap-looking and should be removed before you even put the bags on the bike. Review Details 8 out of 8 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you?
