Barnett cables are smooth working, long lasting, and virtually indestructible. They are made from the finest components available. Casings are constructed from hard drawn spring wire and all fittings, ferrules, and adjusters are machined in-house from brass, aluminum, and stainless steel to stringent specifications. All Barnett cables are American made using only the finest stainless steel wire rope, nylon, and Teflon on HDPE lined casings. Exterior hardware is polished and chrome plated. Custom and one-off cables are Barnett's specialty. They have developed a new extruded Teflon clear coating that we add to our stainless steel control cables that will give you the look of stainless without scratching your paint or metal finishes. Our clear coat is guaranteed not to yellow with age.

I replaced both the clutch,$75, and throttle cables,$55 each, with these beauties. The clutch cable is thicker and there is some struggle to get it to fit nicely under and intertwined with the Memphis Shade windshield I have. The cable ended up with a split on it's exterior and most likely happened somehow while I was feeding it through and installing from bending it or sliding on something. The manufacturer assured me it was just cosmetic and the cable has layers and layers of strength.

The Clutch cable was thicker than the throttle cable. Unfortunately I had difficulty getting it to fit properly without rubbing on the hardware of my Memphis Shades windshield. The Clutch cable now shows some wear and splitting, however the manufacturer assures me the cable's integrity is not compromised. Speculation that the splitting occurred when I was threading it through somewhere. The cables look heavy duty, but in hindsight....not really a necessary expense to make my bike look better. After about two years, the adjustment bolt broke, w/o explanation. The manufacturer repaired the cable, free of charge.
