Many MANUFACTURER'S reviews say that this does NOT reduce back-fire/poping, but I disagree! I have curb-bruner, non-baffle pipes... the poping WAS strong and loud. This kit cut the back-fire down by (about) 85%.

Fairly easy to install, but be prepared to take off the right front frame rail. Definately nice to have those pipes off the bike and no more worries about the tubes rusting from the inside if you bypassed the system. took me a little longer than expected due to the fact that I also adjusted the valves at the same time. Definately a good purchase, but if you are not mechanically inclined, pay somebody else to do it and save a headache.

I like the Air injection removed, really cleaned up the flow of the engine. The plugs were a bit of a pain to get in place but overall easy to install

Somewhat of a big job putting these into place. Did help out with exhaust popping during shifting and deceleration.

Used to cut down on annoying backfiring during deceleration after installing aftermarket exhaust. Also enhances bike's appearance by removing unsightly AIS plumbing/hoses on the left side of the engine.

I went to a local auto parts store and got a slide hammer loaned to me, and attached a vise-grip to the end. Made removal of the elbows a snap. Getting the plug into the rear jug was easy, but the front jug was another story (as predicted). The downtube is pretty much centered over the hole that the plug needs to be driven into. After much cursing and banging around the garage, I finally got it installed. I had already disabled the AIS system when I installed the pipes and hypercharger, so no difference with the total removal of the system with the exception of a BIG visual enhancement. The left side of the engine now looks ALOT cleaner.

Install was a little tricky, but worked out in the end. Recommend you have at least a 18" pry bar and a 3-lb sledge hammer to drive out the elbow fittings and get the plugs fully seated. Really cleans up the looks of the front and left side of the engine.
