I have to wear leather, padded palm grip, gloves when I ride as these are slippery. I wear XL gloves and these grips are a hand full. My 1100 v star custom has a wicked strong throttle return spring and wears my throttle hand out after 80 miles or so. I would, if you have any money left, put a throttle lock or something else to help with this. The guy I bought the bike from had put clear silicone sealer on top of the flames to stop the slipperiness of the grips. I didn't try this out on long trip before I removed it, it might of helped ease my right hand muscles from having to hold on so damn tight to keep my throttle cranked on.
