However when I packed the baffles the sound is deeper, and still loud but not overbearing. Air flow appears to be much better also. The look is great, very classic. Bottom line-my suggestion are as follows: 1.When you get the pipes pull the baffles out and "WRAP" them. That gives them a deeper sound and takes away that extra bark these have. 2.Take your stock rubber mounts completely out. Place a thick washer inside hole putting stock bolt with stock washer through it. place the same size washer on bottm side then cap it off with supplied lock washer and nut. I ordered an extra set of clamps from Barons with pipes to cover up that nasty gap till you can find some pretty stuff at your local bike swap meet.Overall with these suggestions these pipes sound great on this bike. really nice. Glad I bought them Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

WrongWay (caseym) from , , United States, for a 2004 Midnight 1300 Royal Star Venture wrote: These are pretty good overall, the tone is a little higher pitched than I like, but might be lowered with exhaust packing. Chrome finish is good, no discoloring yet, however there is a little rusting around the screws that hold in the baffles. A chrome cover plate to hide the clamps would be a nice addition for the transition between muffler and pipe. Review Details 14 out of 14 members found this review helpful.
