This tach took me 6 hrs. to install...on a vulcan nomad. I had to remove the tank and add extra wire to the tach,you might not have to do this but I chose to. I downloaded diagrams from Kawasaki to know where the coils are located. That was my most concern since I am not a mechanic. There was more wiring I had to move ouy of the way, but once I new what to do it worked fine. The Tach works great! , jumps around a bit at idle, smooths out at higher rpm's. Be sure you have everything you need before starting, it helps if you want to getter done. Update 7-3-07 Left my motorcycle out in the rain for the first time since installing this Tach, BAD IDEA! , now it has moisture in it and it is now fogging up on the inside.
