(5 stars) reviewed on 12/13/12 byDANIEL (RT219CD) from LAKE CITY FLORIDA, FL, United States, for a 2009 ROADSMITH TRIKE 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: Just a quick note regarding both the tach and the great customer service I recently received. I installed the tach on a VTX 1800 nearly three years ago and have had no problems what-so-ever with it. I had a self-inflicted problem a couple months ago when I managed to lose the small bulb retainer in the process of bulb replacement. Zaya was very helpful and cooperative in locating and sending me a replacement. My e-mails and phone calls were answered promptly and courteously and sympathetically. I found the replacement cost to be very reasonable. The expense of me doing something stupid are often not so reasonable. Thank You Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I called Baron's and they sent me a resistor. Since then, it works fine. Wish they would not have done it that way, becaused I pretty much had to wire it twice. (1 stars) reviewed on 06/29/06 byLenny Adams (LennyA) from Mathews, VA, United States, for a 2002 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: Great look, excellent case & dial, but as a functional tachometer Baron's tach has a lot of shortcomings. It gives a fluctuating reading at idle, a large degree of flutter between shifts and an overall poor performance. If you want a tech that gives you accurate information, do not purchase this one. This has nothing to do with the way the tach was installed!! (read other reviews, they all say basically the same thing). Review Details 13 out of 15 members found this review helpful. (bobkerslake) from Mill Creek, WA, United States, for a 2003 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: For the VTX 1800 you will need the adapter. $45 for two resistors is a ripoff. The needle really bounces around. Review Details 12 out of 13 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
