At first I was hesitant about buying this. One because of the price (for an air cleaner...really ?, was my thought) and two the thought of digging into the carb or paying a shop to do it. But after reading hundreds of reviews on forms and different websites and then seeing the video on youtube that was done by the staff at CruiserCustomizing decided to purchase this. I also purchased the Vance and Hines Cruzer pipes at the same time. They go hand in hand for the preformance boost. Install took a little over and hour including the carb rejet which was very easy thanks to the video. I highly recommend an impact screwdriver to remove the bowl screws. This thing looks fantastic and I can really feel the preformance change. A lot more power and I can really feel the bike pull through the gears now. I highly recommend this. One last thing, the guys at CruiserCustomizing are great. They answered all my questions and are very knowledgeable about their products.

This air kit is still to be fitted along with the new jets for the carbies, need to get bike to mechanics to have this done and then dino tuned

I have a 2007 XVS650 Classic and pondered over all airfilters available before chosing Barons, reason being all the others appeared as add on's were as Barons when fitted looked as part of the bike. Prior to starting this fitting I removed the tank and seat as other advice I had seen stated this was helpful, and for rejetting on my bike it made it very easy to rejet, (would suggest if you have a 2007 XVS650 do this if you are rejeting. I had only 1 fitting issue with the Air Kit and that was re-using the stock standard rubber boot, when I installed mine the boot ID was slightly smaller than Barons backing plate ID. Even glueing it still left it without a tight fit so I recleaned the glued area used heavy heat selastic and allowed it to set hard overnight. Next day I glued the boot onto back plate allowed it to set hard (quite a few hours)and it is a snug fit. As for perfomance can not testify to its result as this was fitted with some new pipes and my bike is certainly bett...
