First I believe the reed block off covers come with this purchase so don't purchase extra. I now have two sets. The instructions are useful but not great. I am a novice when it comes to motorcycle mechanics but I actually fairly easily installed the reed block of covers and the big air kit. The manufactures instructions really aren't that great but will be useful. Also, having a service manual and using Gadget's website will be helpful. The wires to the solenoids well not be used to you can cut them. The plastic piece that bridges between the air filter covers is the most difficult part of the install. A dremel will be useful and make sure you have threadlocker on hand. This cleaned up the bike and just looks damn good. I do not regret this purchase.

This is a very heavy piece of billet. Looks great on the bike and I'm impressed with the performance. Not sure on hp gains or torque, but it sure feels like there is more. Not too bad to install. Cross over tube was the most time consuming but with the use of a dremel, it came out. Baron's instruction aren't great, but with the use of my shop manual and Gadget's Fix It page, it was a snap. Took more time to take the OEM stuff off than to install the BAK. Remapped the PCIII and was set to go. Bike fired right up. Seems to run a lot smoother now. I had already installed the Reed Valve block off plates previously, so did not need the ones that came with this kit. Nice of them to include them though. BTW, I didn't rush with this install. Took my time and spent an entire day to do it.

Seems to be working well with Pipes and Commander... Seems a little tarnished. Going to see if I can find something to clean it up.

The crossover tube is a little hard to get out but besides that the product went on very easy. The only thing I don't like is that I can now hear the intake sucking in air.

Easy install, but as everyone says getting the cross-over pipe was the hardest part of it. A Dremel tool did the trick in short order. The insructions were good but not as complete as others I have seen. Good quality.

I think this product should have been listed under "Chrome Accessories" instead of "Performance Parts". I'm not disappointed in the added performance of my bike now that I have installed the BAK, but it wasn't all that I was hoping for. You will get a boost, but it won't turn your bike into greased lightening. The chrome finish on the cover could be better. After awhile, the chrome finish begins to "smudge" and it doesn't reflect like it did when it was new. Installation took me about 5 hours. You will have to remove your tank, but that's not very difficult. I just unhooked the two small black hoses under the right side of the tank and then flipped the tank over to the left, leaving much of the other components still attached. If you do this, you don't have to drain the tank or worry about unhooking all that other crap. As plenty of other people have stated, the worst part is removing the cross-over duct. It's not hard, just frustrating trying to cut all of that plastic out of there. ...

Great Looking on my Vulcan!!! I really like the look, and it's cool!! , but what a job to install !!!!!. It could be a lot easier if Baron would provide better instructions and maybe some closeup photo's? It took me 6 hours to install and then I called Baron to get some help, but, they had no tech available because one tech went to Daytona and the other went to a funeral, so I would have to wait until Monday or keep trying to figure it out. I couldn't wait, there instructions are not the best, I sure hope it runs ok considering the price. We will see tomorrow when I get the tank back on. I will do an update Monday 3/13/06. Well, I finished installing the Big Air Kit and took it for a spin, I am not sure at this point if it was worth the money or not. TAKE SOME ADVICE..DON'T SPEND THE MONEY...I spent $800.00 for nothing but looks. I can't believe that Cruiser Customizing edied my summary, they removed the negative important information that people needed to know.

Highly recommended, everything fit, hardest part is removing the crass-over duct, which can be easily cut down in the middle with a piece of sanding string from the woodworker store.

Looks great. I haven`t installed it yet and will review then. Installed at the beginning of april and it looks great on the bike. I only had one problem when installing one of the standoff post stripped right of the bat. I got Barons to send me a replacement so all is well.
