(5 stars) reviewed on 04/24/07 bysleeve (nopicture) from Franklin, WI, United States, for a '05 Midnight 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Let me breathe ! What a difference compared to stock. With pipes and jetting my bike rocks ! Follow the BAK directions exactly when jetting and you will have no problems. The rain sock works perfectly. The screws holding the air cleaner in place are kinda cheap, the chrome is coming off. That's my only complaint, I'll buy some new ones at the hardware store. If you buy this kit you will be very happy. I am ! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Gives the bike alot more torque and its a little louder than the stock you can hear this massive V-Twin breath. The only thing Neg I can say is that the boot on the back comes unglued off the plate so get you two new hose clamps at any auto store and problem solved. It gives it a stock appearance, from a distance, which is what I wanted. What it does not do is give stock performance... it excells by far!! I jetted it at the same time I did the BAK as the jets where part of the package. The new air filter and housing was realitively easy to install, just a few minutes. the jet and needle however was a different matter. I had to first remove the tank to access the rear manifold clamp. (limited tools.) After that removeing several electrical connections and the throttle cables, never did get the choke cable and idle adjustment cable free. once that was done I first changed the needle per the instructions and then the main jet per the same instructions.
