(5 stars) reviewed on 02/08/10 by(DonnyG163) from , , for a 2000 Vulcan wrote: Baron Big air Kit added plenty of hp and torque. I found it to be easy to install. I didn't have to remove my gas tank, just took my time and everything went perfect. You do need a small bead of silicone on back plate. As everyone says it unleashes the beast. And it looks Great. (4 stars) reviewed on 07/27/08 byWayne (katoom113) from Cedar City, UT, United States, for a 2008 black on black 2000 Vulcan wrote: Great looking with a very noticable increase in power. I think they took some short cuts in the kit though. I drilled two new holes in the upper part of the back place to locate the temp sender unit. Their fix doesnt really work. Also my kit came with the wrong instructions, I had to find instructions online and even then they were not very easy to follow. But all in all a great part once installed Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

No sealant came with it or instuctions to use any, however where the back plate meets the bike I put a thin coat of silicon blue gasket maker. No ride yet as its only 28 out. (2 stars) reviewed on 11/10/07 byRob (VN2000D6F) from Calgary, AB, Canada, for a 2006 2000 Vulcan wrote: Looks great and provides very good air flow, the problem with this piece is that the back where it mounts to the throttle body intake is not milled perfectly smooth this requires that a thin layer of silicon be applied to the backing plate before it is bolted to the throttle body to provide a good seal and prevent fine dust entering the engine. The filter is also difficult to align and seat to prevent dust bypassing the seals. Barons could spend a little more time engineering this and they would then have a 5 star product. High price for mostly looks. I have since removed it from my bike Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
