Fitment quality is poor

Due to inconsistent quality, the install was much more difficult than it needed to be.

I would like to install these pipes on my 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT. I currently have a Baron's Big Air Kit on bike. Do I need to reprogram my Fuel  and if so what should I buy and how does it work? Thank you .

I have a Vance and Hines FuelPak. You look up your BAK and your pipes and on the supplied chart and enter the values and you are good to go. I couldn't find my pipes and V & H tech support and gave me the values and walked me through the input.

    Hi Ronald,
In short, yes you must remap the fuel injection, especially given that you already have the BAK on the bike. The most common units are the Power Commander and the Cobra units. Like everything else, it comes down to money. They both carry units that are less expensive but will require setup and programming, most effectively done on a dynamometer.
There is also the PowerCommander V which requires no adjustment as well as the Cobra PowerPro fi2000 tuner. These two units are "plug and play" and do not require any setup. They have microprocessors which monitor the engine parameters and adjust the mixture accordingly. They are more money than the other units, but when you factor in the cost of dyno time with the others it really isn't more costly in the end. The other benefit with these units is that if you change something on the bike, no adjustment will be necessary; they will automatically compensate for the change.
I have had the Cobra PowerPro fi2000 on my Road Star 1700 for roughly a year and a half and it has performed flawlessly. Installation is a breeze and should be done at the time the exhaust is installed. If you go to my page, there are videos detailing the entire process. Take a look at them, I think you will find them helpful.
I know that it may be tempting to do the exhaust and "see how it runs" before remapping but I don't recommend that. Most of these bikes are coming from the factory already set too lean and running them leaner will make the engine run even hotter - not a good idea. Do it right from the beginning and everything will be fine. Feel free to message me with any questions. Have fun and be safe.
