(1 stars) reviewed on 08/11/09 byDeb (bideko2004) from Peoria, AZ, United States, for a 2008 750 Shadow Aero wrote: I did not think before purchasing this... all cables and lines need to be disconnected to put this braided sleeve material over the line. For the brake line that means loosing fluid and needing to bleed the line again. Should only be used if bike is totalling stripped down.....not an easy install at all Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(3 stars) reviewed on 06/28/09 by(scaperd) from Marysville, OH, United States, for a 2007 Shadow 750 Aero black with red pin stripe 750 Shadow Aero wrote: This is a ok product, its far cheeper than to by real braided lines. For my motorcyle they are around 55 dollars a piece. With this kit there are a few things to think about before buying. First remember this is a plastic flexi wire its hard to cut due to it fraying. Seconds when adding this to your bike you need to actualy removed one end of the line your going to add this on which for myself took around 3 hours for only the removal. Third the way to make this look any good is to use clear heat shrink on the ends and make sure not to melt the plastic flexy wire cover itself, I melted 2 of 6 ends. Take your time know this is a very time consuming and pain staking process. In the end it does look very good and took me a few tries to get it down but saving myself 180 dollars was nice. I chose to do it while I had the bike apart for a major tuneup a year ago. I also put clear heatshrink over top of it to prevent it from fraying... it looks pretty good! Installation took some time, but was worth it. Using a soldering iron was the best for cutting; follow the instructions closely. The brake line was difficult, but it came out ok.
