If they could work out a way to keep them from getting bent the install would be a breeze. The lower mounting arms where bent in a bit but, about 10 min. with my jeeps scissor jack it slipped right on. Just be careful not to go to too far. The only glitch I ran into was one of the bolts that was in my right floor board (OEM) was apparently cross threaded when it was installed so now I need to take her to a shop to have the mounting hole tapped and another bolt put in. It looks great on the bike I can't wait to ride her. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Jon Hubbard (COC50) from Englewood, CO, for a 2008 C50 Boulevard wrote: When I took the part out of the box, I thought it looked great. The hardware was good-looking, too. However, after messing around with it for a couple of hours, I gave up on installing it. The following evening, I spent another hour trying to get it installed. The reason I had so much difficulty is that none of the holes lined up with the spots they were supposed to be attached to the frame. After much pushing and pulling, I finally got it on the bike. However, the gap between the bar and the radiator is nearly nil on one side and about a quarter inch on the other. Probably not really obvious to someone who walks by, but I know it and I'll see it every time I walk up to the bike. Overall, it looks great, but the installation and fit are poor. Other than that they were installed without too much difficulty. The bars look good !And they go excellent with the NEW "Mustang " seat i have just installed last week. Now i'm smiling all the way down the Hiway. Only other problem was two mounting bolts were missing ?? I believe that to be blamed on the CUSTOMS GUYS...they are not carefull when ripping things apart coming across the border. But i got nice chrome bolts from my Brafasco store locally, which did the trick ! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
