DO NOT buy if your bike is j-slammed. any hard turn will bottom this thing out. HARD. its not like skidding the ground with your floor board. your teeth will rattle if you hit the ground with this thing. i have a j-slammed 2009 yamaha v-star classic and it sits to low for this part. had to take it off. mine also came with a huge chrome chip on it. not sure who to blame for it. it was on the top right side facing out. very noticable.

I love how my bike looks with the part. I have added a picture (with the part) to my profile. I does make the bike look larger. I watched the video on this site and followed the directions. Make sure you have a rubber mallet, because after I took the bolts off of the bike, the guard still wouldn't fit. You don't need to hit hard. Also I kept the packaging on the rest of the part so as not to scratch the bike or the chrome on the part. Took me about one hour to install by myself.
