Oil Relocation

I purchased this last fall and finally put it on yesterday; its going to be a fantastic addition to the bike; I can now officially change the oil myself.

My only concern was the brake cylinder was too close and we had a heck of a time working around that. I still have to sort that out a bit; its way too tight.

I would definately purchase this product for the vstar.

Like this ORK, makes changing the oil filter easy. Bad thing about the ORK was I found out that this kit does not work well with Cobra Speedster Slashdown exhaust pipes. The Cobra pipes relocate the front master cylinder, with the relocation bracket on the master cylinder, it is in the way of the oil filter. I have yet to reroute the front master cylinder, but I am planning on doing this. Currently the master cylinder is just clamped to the front frame.

This should be the very first modification you should make if you own A Vstar. No More 4 hour oil changes. No longer burning yourself on the hot exhaust pipes. No more fooling with o-rings, backup rings, and leaking side covers. Makes an oil change simple as it should be.

Great product. Went on easy, no leaks, everything fit just as it should. Looks good. Don't know why Yamaha didn't do this in the first place. Kind of pricey, but well worth the time it will save. I will probably be buying one of the covers also, although may try to modify the original Yamaha cover first. It does look a little empty down there without it.

Easy to install if you have ever changed your own oil. Instead of dreading my next oil change, I am actually looking forward to it. Nice addition to the bike.

Good product, don't have to spend $300 to change oil anymore, only one problem leaking fitting were it's crimped together, also leaking from the threads on the filter side. if anyone knows how to fix it give me a shout. still leaks even at -40 was told permatex 59214 thread sealer should do the trick. i will get back to you if it works. I retract my first statement, out of the 2 i bought both are leaking, not very impressed, leaks alot. oct 2 2011 put the bike away for winter still leaking seems that barons don't care to help a brother out.

Fitment relatively easy. No more having to dis assemble the bike to change the oil filter. So simple why the hell couldn't Mr Yamaha and his troops have done something like this in the factory
