It's nice to be able to open you gas cap without taking out you key. Looks really low on the Roadstar. Well worth the money, and easy to install, again take your time and make sure you don't drop any epoxy in to the tank. Review Details 6 out of 6 members found this review helpful. (5 stars) reviewed on 03/10/08 byranger gill (rangergill) from Copperase Cove, TX, United States, for a 2006, red w/ flames 1100 V-Star Custom wrote: If you are going to do this yourself, I suggest taking your time. make sure the insert is stright. You will not be able to remove the insert once you have placed it. Before you bond the insert place the cap on first to make sure it seat correctly. then remove the cap to mount the insert. I did not place the cap on first and its a little lopsided. Review Details 4 out of 4 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I never cared for the looks of the stock cap anyhow. Even though this item is overpriced, it sure beats the looks of the stock one. Review Details 3 out of 5 members found this review helpful. (3 stars) reviewed on 04/06/07 byScott Sedita (scottymacg5) from Wood-Ridge, NJ, United States, for a 2006 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Not as low profile as in the pictures that show it on-line. It looks nice though. Filling up is gonna be a bitch! The hole it very narrow, but looks come at a cost. Carefully mask off your tank when installing the profiler as the epoxy is nasty stuff you DO NOT want on your tank. I taped off the filler hole with "Blue masking tape" then cut a hole in an old t-shirt and taped it to the first layer of masking. Wirked very well.
