Just installed this bar yesterday which was very easy to do. The only hard part was taking the throttle cable off and putting it back on. Looks sweet on the bike. Can't wait to test it out.

Dimensions of these bars are perfect. I removed the wire clips from the stock bars, drilled holes in the Star Bar and installed the clips with small screws to hold the wiring. Star Bars are excellent value for the price.

I like these so far. I wish they were drilled to run the electrical wires internally. I was concerned that beach bars might be a little too wide for me so I went for these instead. I heard that Baron's is updating their Big Johnson bars to work on the '04 and newer Road Stars so I may get those when they come out.

These new bars are awesome. Were not difficult to put on at all. All cables had plenty of room. Two things, though. There is a hole in the bars on the throttle side that the throttle housing must match. Look for it when installing. Also, when re-tightening the left rearview mirror bracket, be careful not to overtighten. That darn bolt will snap and then you're stuck. Got it fixed though and the bars help me relax and allow me to lean back a bit more.

GET SOME! Much improved riding postion, less fatigue. Definitely helps handling and control. Great Chrome finish and real easy to install. Note you might want to take some digital pictures on how the cables and components are on the current bar before removing. Best to have help with this install - another set of hands are always cool. Make sure you buy new grips at same time - Kuryakyn ISO grips work really well for me.

I had this bar installed as part of the package when I bought the bike 3+ years ago. Overall, I would say I have been happy with it. The chrome has held up well and they give the bike the nice wide look. Since I have had them, I adjusted the angle and they give me a nice comfortable riding position. I didn't install them, but I do know that the bar is about as wide as you can go w/o changing out the control lines (brake and electric). The break and throttle line are stretched to their limits.

My first concern is why are bars for the Roadstar so much more expensive than bars for HD??? Still, these bars are nice. Chrome is very good as it is on all of Baron's products. My first impression after about 50 miles... If I had had the ability, I would have ripped them off and thrown them in the ditch! Seriously, the feel is much different than the stock Silverado bars. Lower and wider, with a bit of pull back though not as much as I expected. By the time I put 300 miles on them, I changed my mind. Comfort is much improved and it seems the bike handles better as well. So, back to the fact they cost too much. What can you say!

The bar brings the grip back and lower, making the riding position much more comfortable. Chrome is Baron's usual high quality, and easy to install.

I only recently added the Starbars to my bike so my actual riding time with them is somewhat limited. I did immediatly notice that the bars allow me to sit up straighter by bringing my hands back closer to me and that the bars also place my hands noticeably wider than the stock bars. The quality is excellent but these bars do not have the little nubs to attach the plastic cable holders that are on the stock set up, so I had to use chrome cable ties to secure my electric lines. In the time I have used them they are very comfortable and should help with my original problem of lower back pain on extended rides.
