The difference is very noticeable. The engine runs a lot smoother, especially at idle. Not sure if there is much more horsepower gain yet as I can't take the bike out for a proper spin until I replace my over-worn rear tire. Installation was not at all as bad as some reviews make it out to be. I installed them in about 40 minutes. Took off speedo, tank, air box and carbs (15 minutes)- fitted the torque-gizmos (in 2 minutes)- then put back on carbs, air box, tank and speedo (25 minutes). The worst was getting the air-box back on again. The way Yamaha designed the attachments for the air-box onto the top of the carbs is stupid. Getting it back on is a pain in the hole.
