(5 stars) reviewed on 12/31/05 bySal (salejr) from Slidell, LA, United States, for a 2003 Purple with Ghost Flames 750 Shadow Spirit wrote: The Battery Tender Plus is a very good investment. It will charge a low battery and also maintain the charge when the bike is not in use. It comes with two cords, one with aligator clips on the battery end, and one with ring terminals. I recommend going somewhere like Radio Shack and buying a few extra connecters to make up a cord to use with a cigarette lighter plug. If you connect the cigarette lighter socket to the battery and make up another longer cord with a cigarette lighter plug at each end to carry with you on the bike, you can actually use it as a jumper cable if you're out somewhere and the battery goes down. Unless the battery is completely dead, you can plug the cord into the bike and the other end into a cigarette lighter on a vehicle and get a jump start. This may not be the practical thing to do, but in an emergency it may get you started and get you where you need to be. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
