Installing this unit over my new Kyriacan grips was tough buy with the help of the video on CC's website it helped make the job a lot easier. It took a little to get it setup to the way I like it but it will be well worth it. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 12/12/11 by(IdahoVStar) from , , for a 1100 V-Star Silverado wrote: Excellent product! Install took about an hour (including all the adjustments to make sure safety features work properly). Very well made and reliable. I used it on my VStar 1100 for a 4,000 mile road trip and had no problems with it! My right hand never wore out the whole trip and it held up nicely to bad roads and bad weather. I highly recommend this product as the best throttle lock on the market and worth every penny! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Was not hard at all installing just a bit of adjustment if you have know how on mechanical items. Hope it works good for I will be using it alot this summer on a long road trip, from Ga. to Galllup, NM and Las Vegas. over 3400 miles in 2 week time frame. (5 stars) reviewed on 07/23/10 by(jacla56) from Myrtle Creek, OR, United States, for a 2005 Pearl White 1100 V-Star Silverado wrote: A friend recommended this so I gave it a shot. I had it on my 650, then moved it to my 1100. Installation is fairly simple. They even provide the necessary hex wrenches, and any adapters you might need for different bikes. It releases easily with either the button or the brake handle. And while it's engaged, you can still twist the throttle up or down for fine speed adjustments. I liked it so much, I bought one for a birthday present for a friend of mine. It's well worth the money. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Good for shaking your hand every once in a while. Do not use when group riding, you find youself adjusting constantly, even on open stretches. Do follow th instuctions on this one, lots of specific adjustment for the safty feature with the break lever. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

With the Kury ISO grips use dishsoap, works great. Very easy to set and release. Does exactly what it is supposed to! You can adjust after it is set as well. I bought the breakaway first then the throttle boss. Old review: My thumb goes numb after about 45 minutes of riding so I need something to allow my throtle hand a rest. I think this is a great product. The only complaint is the way you have to adjust it. I think in that regard it could have been engineered better. But from what I've seen on the market it's tops. It took about 1 hour to install and about 2 hours to adjust (including test rides). Install tip: The directions are a bit scattered. Read through them once before starting install. If you have time xerox the schematics page so you can have a separate ready reference to look at when the install directions call out a part item (You have to look at the schematics often to see what part item they are talking about). This way you dont have to rip it out of the instructions... Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 06/27/08 byTroy Lyons (flyons2) from Yorktown, VA, United States, for a 2007 1100 V-Star Silverado wrote: Seemed pricey but well worth the price. A must have if you do long rides. looks like it belongs on the bike. Installation is not too difficult but there are four pivot points on the device. Had to loosen all of them to get everything set up and keep the mounting true so the throttle did not bind. Comes with three different sized rubber strips. The instructions say to use the medium sized strip with stock grips but I had to use the large strip to obtain enough friction to keep the throttle locked while running. Improve your gas mileage in the city or on the highway. Wish I had purchased this a long time ago. Several of my riding buddies have this as well, and we all love it. Very well made and hardly noticeable on the bike. Not chrome, but highly polished aluminum. Looks great. Get one! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Installed per instructions and throttle was binding. Had to loosen fasteners at all pivot joints and brake lever through bolt mount and play around tightening one fastener at a time to release the binding throttle. Works great. I especially like the break lever cam release. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
