It was put on my VTX1300R when I bought it new in April 2008. After two 5,000 mi trips and many shorter ones for 32,000 miles I can say it is great, though a bit expensive. The only thing better would be a real cruise control. No it does not adjust for hills but a gentle turn of the throttle corrects and it is better than holding the right grip for 150 miles. The front brake will turn it off or you can do it manually. Much better than the throttle stop. I will add it to any future bike I own if no real cruise. I'll give it a 5 but I still think it is over priced.

Very well made and works perfectly. A bit tricky to install, pay close attention to the instructions and get a buddy to hold stuff. I later held stuff for him when he got one and it went much quicker because we read the instructions first that time.

Wow! What a cool piece. This is by far the best throttle lock/cruise control on the market. It does take some fine tuning to get it to function flawlessly but worth the effort. I can't believe I waited this long to get this. What adifference this makes in the enjoyment of a LONG ride. This item also makes me feel extremely safe, once tweaked in this thing will disengage without a worry in the event that you have to avoid a stupid, blind, cage dweller... I have great confidence in the safety of this prodect, especially when compared to other inferior models. It does the job, keeps throttle locked when you need it to relax your throttle hand and super easy, quick, safe disengagement if you have to stop quick.

Definately watch the CruiserCustomizing video about installing these on Kuryakyn ISO grips. When installed, it takes almost no room away from the grip. I have to fine tune the "grip" adjustment since the cruise control slips after a few minutes of being engaged - I'm thinking from the vibrations. Quickly disengages with front brake or release switch.

Fairly easy to install. Spent more time fine tuning than putting the thing on. Does go over Kuryaking ISO grips just have to work with it a bit.

This is a great accessory and a must for long rides. It is a little tricky to install especially over ISO grips but it will fit and works nicely. Easy to operate and adjust.

I was concerned about the difficulty of installation after reading some of the reviews on here so I downloaded the instructions while I was waiting for the unit to come in. I went over them ahead of time so I was familiar with it when it did get in. I followed the instructions to the letter and it went fine. Nice craftsmanship and quality. Several posts mentioned difficulty getting it to slide over Kuryakyn ISO grips. Using dish soap as mentioned in the directions made this no problem at all. Took it out on a two hour jaunt and it performed as advertised. Just a touch of the brake lever and it releases. It's nice to be able to relax my right hand as well as my left now. Looks like it was a part of the bike from the factory not an add-on.
