Cruise is set by pressing down a lever and then is adjustable by rotating throttle. Unfortunately that can happen with just your hand pressure as well. Nice release features. Easy install,recommend setting spring tension at 1/4 throttle to hold solid when engaged.Also recommend setting lock a little before desired speed and giving the throttle a little twist to maintain wanted speed. (4 stars) reviewed on 06/14/08 by Faron (takedwn169) from Coffeyville, KS, United States, for a 2007 Burgandy 1300 VTX1300C wrote: had some trouble installing this because i ordered the wrong grips. i had to grind on my new grips to make it fit. luckly i hadn't installed the grips yet so i was able to grind and install it on the grips before glueing to my cycle. it takes a while to tweek the settings, but it is really nice when you get it installed. i had the cheap 30 dollar one that was a joke. if you know anything about bikes, this won't be a problem for you. just make sure your grips work with it and you'll save alot of headache. Got it on though, with the use of some dishwashing soap. The instructions were clear and there are a lot of them. Follow them step by step and expect to spend some time getting the device perfectly lined up to keep it from pinching the throttle. Tried it out on the interstate today; 70mph and it worked great. The front break release sold me on this device and that works great too. It also looks great; my brother said that it looks like it is a stock part of the bike.
