Takes only 20 minutes or so to install, but only after you spend 20 minutes or so reading through the instructions first. And I do recommend you read them first. My only complaint was that it didn't work with my Vulcan Classic 2000 LT without the extra cost riser kit. This tacked $15 ($10 for the tiny little part, and $5 for shipping) onto the price. It is truly a tiny little part, and in my opinion this should come with the package, or be a freebie from the factory in the event you do need it. They already include another type of extender into the base package, along with three different thicknesses of rubber inserts -- so I'm surprised and offended that this riser is not also included. Other than that, all I can say is WOW! This is a wonderfully engineered, high quality, and amazing accessory. Pricey, yes, but then most of use have motorcycles that are pricey toys. This is the best cruise control I have ever bought. Very well made; not plastic like the others. Still have fine-tuning to complete adjustments. I was in A HURRY to install. Using a Dremmel, I had to make the opening larger to slide over my ISO grips. Because I used the smallest fiber spacer supplied, I now have to set this cruise control by pressing the the set lever with my right thumb while reaching over with my left hand to push up on the locking mechanism. I really feel I could adjust this out by putting in the supplied mid sized or largest spacer. Quite honestly, this is a bear to do. It takes a lot of dish detergent and a good deal of patience.
