Fitment was a little fiddly to get it operating correctly and smoothly but with a little trial and error with the adjustment it came together. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Takes some adjusting to get it set up but well worth it. Can be released with thunb or by pulling on the break lever. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(4 stars) reviewed on 04/11/12 byDavid (hoteclipse) from Kelowna, BC, Canada, for a 2011 1900 Raider wrote: I installed this control with no problem at all. It did take a bit of fine-tuning it but now it's done. It really works at a consistant lower speed but it seems to be not as tight when I'm going down the freeway. It might just require a bit more tuning. I like it though. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(4 stars) reviewed on 02/25/12 byJeff Moore (Strats) from Colorado Spring, CO, US, for a 2007 1900 Stratoliner wrote: Well manufactured equipment. I highly suggest watching the video for install. I put this on a Statoliner with ISO grips. The assembly went over my ISO grips easier than in the video. It took some time to get the assembly adjusted correctly. I had to file away the "L" braket to get it to fit over my brake bolt. I also had to use the extension on both the braket to the brake lever bolt and the cam. The instructions say use a wrench to hold the block when securing the block bolt. Unfortunately I had to remove the bolt assembly several times to adjust the cam. This scratched the block. (Grrrrr). The assembly looks great on the bike. Looks like an OEM part. I just wish it was a high chome like the rest of the "S" model Yamaha put into the bike. I haven't tested on the road yet. The video says to use soapy water to install on Jury ISO grips. I had to use straight dish soap for lubrication. Goes on with some patience and effort. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (4 stars) reviewed on 08/27/11 by(timdeblaey) from , , United States, for a '06 Black and Gold 1900 Stratoliner wrote: Not too tough to install, worked great last year. Seem to be having some difficulty getting it to lock the throttle lately. May need some adjustment. During install, found that the aluminum angle that attaches to the brake lever bolt wasn't a good fit and had to ream it out with my uni-bit to make it fit. A little disappointed with that, but it is a great throttle lock that looks fantastic. I'd recommend it with the anticipation of some customizing. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (4 stars) reviewed on 07/16/11 by(Lpspacer) from , , for a 2008 1800 VTX1800C wrote: The unit looks good and fits nicely onto the right handlebar assembley. Adjustments where a bit difficult but with extra pair of hands was finally achiveable. Luckily i live in a constant temperature as reading others comments seems like more adjustment would be required depending on the ambient temperature. The screws, under the unit to tighten the clamp where fairly poor, and easy to strip phillip screws, so be careful when tightening. I used a precision phillips screwdriver wrapped in a rag and plenty of upward pressure while the wife pulled the allen key back. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(4 stars) reviewed on 06/07/11 byWwOoOlLf (WwOoOlLf) from Milton, ON, for a 2010 1300 VT1300 Interstate wrote: For most bikes this wouldn't be an issue, but because the Honda VT1300 has such low handlebars, I found the lower mounting/stabilizing arm of the unit smacked against the tank, scratching the paint job. Even after extensive cutting and grinding it's still hitting so I guess I'll need to get some risers. Good product though, well worth it. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
