civilmage (civilmage) Member #: CC120735 joined Nov. 2006 Rides a 1999 Black V-Star 1100 Custom Rialto, CA Contact civilmage Accessories: 24 Wishlist: 2 For Sale: 1 Other reviews: 0 ![]() This is my 4th bike. When I was 14 I had a Suzuki TS 90. When I was in college I had a used Honda 750 Four. When I moved to California I sold it and wished I hadn't. Later I had a Honda Goldwing GL1200 Limited Edition. When I got this bike I sold the Goldwing and began replacing and adding a few items. What I like about the Yamaha V star is how smooth it rides and easy it is to handle. With the bags and rack I've added I have many of the same features I liked about the Goldwing. Even my wife doesn't grumble about giving up the Goldwing. She liked how the 'Wing rode and the intercom. The other thing I like about the Vstar is that it's not so intimidating to tear into and change something. Mind you I've only done cosmetic things, I'm not inclined to go messing with the engine- not yet anyway. You can see in this photo most of the accessories I've added and where I put them. I'm a civil engineer for the City of Los Angeles. As hobbies besides the bike I like building PC's, reading Scifi/fantasy and DnD and fantasy video games. Partly I'm doing the bike to get up away from the computer. |
