(4 stars) reviewed on 03/30/09 byShrek (Shrek) from Sydney, , Asia, for a 2003 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: Look great and make the spotlights match the headlamp better. Are well priced and solid. However they are a b*#!* to install as the wire circlips that hold the lens in place are very difficult to remove and then similar to install again without the lens moving. I have also noticed that the thickness of the visor causes the lens to sit back in the housing a little, this in turn will cause the lights to shine higher than originally set. As such, it is a simple matter to again adjust the spots to the correct alignment. I used a quality pair of long nosed pliers to remove/replace the clips. Oh and don't forget that you need to order two as they are sold individually! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

The visors are top notch and you will not regret buying a set to complete the retro look. Installation tip: You will have to remove 2 of the 3 retainer clips to get the visor in the housing. Once in the housing, replace the 2nd retainer clip. Then position the light and visor exactly where you want them and then install the 3rd retainer clip. I removed the light from the housing, pulled the wire through the retainer holes, and sat down in the floor to complete this task. You can easily re-thread the wire back through the holes when you are ready to install the light back into the housing. You will need needle nose pliers to grab one arm of the retainer clip, push it down, the pull it out to release the clip. I would recommend wearing safety glasses, as the clips are under a lot of tension and may fling towards your face if you lose your grip wi... ONE PROBLEM: TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO INSTALL!! I have absolutely no instructions to make them easier. Its a 10 minute job that is so damn hard it takes forever. The clipping system should be made different. The difference in appearance is definately worth it if you have the honda's with the egg'ish headlight!! Review Details Was this review helpful to you?
