Chrome-plated, snap-in visors are available separately. All Cobra light bars really shine and, best of all, they bolt right on to the stock triple clamps without difficulty, making room for stock (and some aftermarket) windshields.

The Cobra Lightbar for the Vulcan 1700 Classic Lt, 09 & newer

If you've ever lost a headlight in the dark of night on a road away from the back light glow of civilization it'll make a believer out of you in short order, if you survive it. When it gets dark in the desert, it gets dark. Road? What road? I've had it happen and at high speed. To this day I don't know how I survived it other than by the grace of God. Since then I've never owned a bike that didn't have road lamps installed and on their own switch. The safety factor cannot be over estimated.

The Cobra steel lightbar is absolutely grand. The piece is well constructed and designed. It's classy looks makes the spot lights and directionals look even better. Solid construction, does the job as intended, and looks great too! Can't go wrong with that. This is one piece I highly recommend to any cruiser or bagger owner regardless if it's metric or U.S. It's not some macho thing. It's your life at stake. Protect it with Cobra.

Sincerely,

John Campbell

My light bar arrived today, its the second one, the first had a factory defect. It was returned and a new one shipped, it took about 7-10 days total. lets start with the packaging... the plastic wrap is very tight on the light bar it takes patience and care getting it off. second in the big package box out side the shrink wrap there are two loose spacers and electrical connector, so take care opening the box. they put a blue splice connector that you use, loosely over a 20" wire they supply(it doesn't go there, it slides off, kinda decieving)they could have put a round male connector in the box.(my bike and a round female connector not a flat one) read directions, instal takes about 30-45 mins. Looks great! very bright!

Excellent item, even has a switch so that the lights come on with the key and stay on using either low or high beam. Install only took about 25 minutes. Directions clear and accurate. The only problem was that the included zip ties were too small.

Ted, the light switch is located on the light bar itself just behind the right hand spot light. It's mounted to a very nice mounting fixture that holds the spotlight itself. When properly wired, as per the directions, the lights come on automatically with the headlight unless you have that switch turned off. They stay on with the same brightness regardless of being on high or low beam selected for the headlight.

Recommend moving your bike to a location approx 20 to 30 feet from a wall, shining the headlight on the wall at low beam, and then, while sitting on the bike with it straight up, adjust the spot lights so the top of the spot light beam is at the same level as the top of the low beam pattern. This will help avoid blinding oncoming traffic and simulate the level of which the lights display with your weight on the bike.

If you need any additional information just let me know.

    Best regards,

    John Campbell
