took 15 minutes to install, look AWESOME and function great. I live on a dirt road and hit a sandy patch and laid the bike on the bars... not a scratch on the bar or the bike. the bars cost less than repainting or replacing the side cover and fender that one time alone...

Very easy to install and protects great. Laid down my VTX going 30-40 and it hit a median. Broke the concrete and bent the bars, but the bike still looks great and now I only need to replace them.

EASY to install. Only problem was a rattle after installation. Bent horn bracket out a bit and that was that.

I love these highway bars as they make the bike look like a bull. Can't wait to add highway pegs to attach to the bars. The install took about 20 min. As most have said start the top bolt first with a couple of turns. Then attach left and right sides (tighten together), then tighten top bolt. The fatty comes with 2 sets of washers (2 thick ones for the 1300R/S & 2 thin ones for the 1300C). I also installed on my bike at the same time the Big Chrome V radiator grill. I found when installing the fattys that the chrome grill is in the way a bit, to the point where you need a spacer when attaching the top bolt. I have a 1300C and found that the thick washer worked great as a spacer so I was not crushing the chrome grill when tighening the top bolt.

Really nice. For the larger bikes this is the best solution. The small bars don't look as good. I also found these to be very easy to install. You can see it very well in the bottom photo in my profile here at cc.

Adds a lot of personality to the bike, gives it a much more stocky appearance. And that was just the look I was after!

Fatty bars are super sized. They are the largest freeway bars I have seen. They bolted right onto my bike with no problems. If you follow the directions it will require two people. If you bolt on the center bolt where the horn is mounted first it is a one person install. It took me a few rides to get used to having them on my bike. but now it is like they have always been there.

Looks better than the skinny bars, nice to know if I have to lay it down that I've got at least this much extra protection.
