It was not an easy fit. Then I had to take it to the dealer to adjust and put in the correct spacer. But, it is a very good item to have on your bike, I would not be without it. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish by myself. I started with the lower left side of the bar and continued with the lower right then the upper left and finished with the upper right. I did not need the supplied spacer because I used the washers that were there at the start of the project. I did not tighten any bolts and nuts until everything was in placed and lined up. I read a lot about the problems others had installing the bars and found it easier to just purchase Chrome Acorn Nuts and used the bolts and lock washers that came with the freeway bar. I used a ½ inch socket to stop the top bolts from turning as I tightened the acorn nuts. Be sure to pull the bar forward when tightening it down to avoid vibration rubs with the radiator hose and tubing on the bottom. Installation may be a different story if you have to contend with a floorboard. I have pegs. The Chrome acorn nuts really help set off an already good looking product. The... The welds at the flanges could've been a bit neater especially at the top attachment point to the frame gusset; the heads of supplied bolts hit on the welds before bottoming out on the flange. I went out and picked up some stainless socket head cap screws (allen key bolts) and that did the trick. Cobra's chrome has to be one of the best!
