Roy Surratt (OldGuyToo) from Salisbury, NC, United States, for a 2006 Black w/ lots of chrome 750 Shadow Spirit wrote: Installation was somewhat difficult, but the quality of the mounting hardware around the upper frame members was superior to other manufacturers. My only complaint is that my shoes touch the bars whenever I have to brake or shift gears; thus, I have to lift my foot to slide it under or on top of the shifter pedal. A little more clearance would have been more usable. Good looking chrome to dress up around the front of the engine. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

CheeseMan316 (CheeseMan316) from Conway, PA, United States, for a 2006 750 Shadow Spirit wrote: The installation did NOT go well. Mounting the throttle side bracket is extremely difficult and I don't have very large hands. Other thoughts: The bars greatly interfere with my normal riding position. I found that I had to adjust my shifter and brake pedals up in order to be able to use them. I was used to being able to slide my foot under the shifter from the side, but with the bars right there it is not possible. I have to lift my heel and slip my foot under the shifter. I did NOT experience the brake binding that other people have reported. I really expect to remove these highway bars soon. If they were 2-3" wider at the base I honestly believe that I would live them Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(sellis9) from Joplin, MO, United States, for a 2007, red with flames 750 Shadow Spirit C2 wrote: My Cobra Freeway Bars are fantastic. The installation took less than 30 minutes between me and my husband. The highway bars were put on about 6 months ago, and put to the test about 2 months ago. A dog ran out in front of my bike. It first was hit by the front wheel, and then the highway bar (the dog is fine). I didn't lay the bike down, and the freeway bar help deflect the dog away from the bike as to not cause further injury to the bike, or any damage to the bike. After a brief inspection...the unleashed pit bull, and my bike were both fine. Thanks to my new freeway bar from Cobra. It is very sturdy. Absolutely NO vibration on the highway. The shape compliments the overall look of my bike. Review Details 1 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
