Install wasn't hard at all just a little time. I left the plastic on until i finished to keep from scratching and also mounted the top part first so it would be held in place. I cross threaded the bolts on accident, so had to retap, but nothing major. The bars are open at the top above the fendor and straight across at the bottom, which makes changing my oil filter (with relocation kit) kinda a pain. The left floorboard / peg doesn't have to be removed, you just bolt it to the outside. Now, the right side has a bit more work. You have to put a spacer between the rear master cylinder and the frame, and one of the floorboard / peg mounts gets a spacer also. Then the bar gets bolted on the inside of the floorboard / peg mount. If they made the right side exactly the same as the left, would have only taken 15 minutes to install.
