Installation wasn't bad, maybe an hour or so. I cross threaded the bolts on accident, so had to retap, but nothing major. The bars are open at the top above the fendor and straight across at the bottom, which makes changing my oil filter (with relocation kit) kinda a pain. Gotta loosen the top bolts and remove the bottom ones to tilt it out to change the filter. Overall it's a great look though!

Installation wasn't bad, kinda screwy though. The left floorboard / peg doesn't have to be removed, you just bolt it to the outside. Now, the right side has a bit more work. You have to put a spacer between the rear master cylinder and the frame, and one of the floorboard / peg mounts gets a spacer also. Then the bar gets bolted on the inside of the floorboard / peg mount. If they made the right side exactly the same as the left, would have only taken 15 minutes to install. Instead, took me 3 hours, 2 trips to buy new bolts and 1 trip to purchase a tap and dye kit.

Just installed this bar ... looks great and it feels very solid. Installation took about thirty minutes and everything lined up perfectly. Took it on the road for a test ride and decided that I'll need to add foot pegs to get the ride I'm looking for.

had a hard time installing due to the bad fit. I needed to use a ratchet strap to pull the upper portion of the bar close enough to the frame to get the bolts in. The spacing was to far, I had a 1/2" gap on both sides. The lower part was fine but not the top. I called Cobra and they wanted me to send it to them so they could check it out but I had it on the bike and didn't want to go through the hastle. Once on it seems fine. Cobra needed to supply longer bolts for the top bolts, there are not many threads holding on the right side. I will be replacing both top bolts with stainless button head cap screws, (round head with allen drive). The welds are ugly and like others said, but go unnoticed unless looked at very close. Some chromed weld splatter and minor scratches that others will not see. Seem very solid and strong, the chrome didn't scratch after installing the foot pegs. I hope i never find out how it holds up to a dump or crash but i think it would do well. The instru...

Great guards. Be aware they do not work with floorboard extensions unless you fab your own adaptors. They didn't angle as I thought they would but it turned out to be a great buy.

These are great bars, the rounded look is nice but limits where you can place clamps on the bar. Depending on your needs consider the Baron Bars, they have longer straight sections. That being said, I have no problems with the placement of my highway pegs, and fog lights that I will mount in the near future. They completely change the look of the bike. I think it looks great....

No problems installing though instructions were incorrec - mentioned having to remove 2 master cyclinder bolts but only thing I had remove was the 4 main bolts where bar holes were. Didn't buy highway pegs, I wanted to wait to see how the bars fit. With highway bars now my foot seems to "hit" the bar as I go to shift down or apply right-foot brake but I'm used to nothing being there. I guess I like how they look, not too big nor too small but still getting used to them. Highway pegs are next.
