love the floorboards over the factory pegs!! had to add some spacers and washers to shim out right side floorboard around my new exhaust (Samson long cannons). fortunately i have a hardware store with chrome hardware a few miles away. the spring tension differs greatly on the boards. the left board is great, nice and snug, no movement or vibration noise. the right board wiggles a lot and if i lift my foot, it's noisy as hell! no way to wind the spring another whole revolution. i'll work on it!!!!

If you have V&H exhuast you'll have to modify right side as reported previously. Some claim a slight vibration on right side at higher speeds. I don't notice due to maybe type footwear?

Not too bad on installation, but had to take my pipes off to get the right side on. Wouldn't ever take them off, they're sooooo much better than pegs!! Everyone should have these!!

This is my first bike and it came with these already installed. I absolutly love these things. I have not ridden a bike without these, but I couldn't imagen using the stock pegs. I would highly recommend these things!!!!

Jerry (AeroBird) from NORTH BEND, WA, United States, for a 1999 1100 Shadow Aero wrote:

I think the Boulevard is a better retro match for the Aero than the Swept style by Cobra. I hope the chrome holds up which is a common problem with other Cobra products. They were a pain to install. You need another set of hands. They aren't designed very well for the Aero and the quality isn't even close to the OEM's After I corrected the rattles I was pretty satisfied. I cut a piece of car radiator hose and wedged it between the floorboards and the mounting bracket. This took quite a bit to align the pin but it solved the vibration and rattle. This also made the boards rigid. I did have a set of heel rests on my OEM's which I'm not certain will fit on the Cobra's. Overall the chrome is a great improvement.Cheers!!!
