I used this to mount a trunk case - which I used to lock up my helmet and jacket when parked, and was empty when riding. The luggage rack couldn't handle the stress and failed. One side completely fractured and the other side was flapping in the wind while going down the express way. I had to pull over and bungy the trunk on the back seat to get home.
