The pad is slightly crooked and the back looks unfinished - that's why they sell the backplates separately.

I felt this sissy bar was perfect for what I was looking for. I did not want something very big and tall. I think it looks perfect on the bike. The only problem I had with the install and the reason that I did'nt give the bar a perfect score was the spacers that cobra provied were not long enogh where the sissy bar bracket attached to the original bracket. The two pieces were going to be rubbing together so I had to put my own make shift spacer in behind the original so to stop the rubbing. Other then that I give the bar a ten.
