Had these for about a year now very easy to install. You should probably consider re-jetting. They sound very good much better than stock could be a little bit louder though.

As slip-ons should be, very easy to install. Just as one ealier review wrote, I did have to paint the chrome bracket to black, too. I did a lot of searching, and this site did offer the best "out the door" price (because the shipping was free and no tax). The sound quality is just what I was looking for... nice throaty tone with a decent punch when you roll the throttle. Much more aggresive than the stock exahuse; it's nice to be able to hear my bike over other vehicles when taking off, but not so lound as to make others want to cover their ears. I would recommend these to anyone looking to get that V twin growl out of their V Star. My favorite change to my bike thus far.
