The first thing I did when I received this slip-on was to check its looks. OK, it has a tiny scratch at the end, but it's on the inside so it's irrelevant. Very good finish, spotless chrome, well built. A solid 9 out of 10 for the first impression. Then I dismantled it and checked the way it is built: skweaky-clean, very well adjusted, top quality metal. 9 out of 10 for the technical part. Fitting is 10 out of 10: it took me 5 minutes to uninstall the stock exhaust and replace it with this new one. Dead easy. And now, the test ride: much louder than the stock exhaust, improved maximum speed, no noticeable impact on fuel efficiency. And it really sounds great... my wife loves it, my neighbours tolerate it, but most importantly it puts that smile on my face each time I start the engine. Frankly, stop hesitating and get yourself one. It's worth it!

I bought these for my wife's 950 Tourer. Fantastic sound. 10 minutes to install. I spent more time finding my tools than putting on the exhaust. My bike (Vulcan 800) is a bit on the too loud side for my taste (I wear earplugs when I ride because I already have tinnitus), but her bike is just perfect (no earplugs). The slip-on growls when you twist the throttle but softens when you let off. At highway speeds you can't even hear it (very nice if you plan on spending 2+ hours on a ride). If you're looking for neighborhood-destroying loudness, then this slip-on is not for you. If you want your Yam to sound more like a "real bike" and have a deep bit of growl, then this is perfect. Wife is very happy!

    Oh ,and if you want to tone down the rasp of that slip-on and make it sound a touch deeper, wrap the removeable baffle with some muffler wrap and secure it with some steel wire.
