Fantastic sound. 10 minutes to install. I spent more time finding my tools than putting on the exhaust. My bike (Vulcan 800) is a bit on the too loud side for my taste (I wear earplugs when I ride because I already have tinnitus), but her bike is just perfect (no earplugs). The slip-on growls when you twist the throttle but softens when you let off. At highway speeds you can't even hear it (very nice if you plan on spending 2+ hours on a ride). If you're looking for neighborhood-destroying loudness, then this slip-on is not for you. If you want your Yam to sound more like a "real bike" and have a deep bit of growl, then this is perfect. However, based on the instructions from the Cobra website it indicates I should have gotten two new mounting bolts. I searched the box and all the packing paper 4 or 5 times and never found any. Just your basic M10 X 30 bolts so the parts store had them on the shelf, it's just the principle of thing. If I didn't have to run to the store for bolts the rating would be an easy 5, but since I did I'll give it a 4. No, I didn't try and get either CC or Cobra to send me bolts...it was only $1.50 at the parts store so I wasn't going to hassle with such a triffling amount.
