Looked at many VTX bikes with different style exhaust. Talked with local speed shop, that builds high performance engines, for racing and cruising, for poeple across the US, and he recomended these Cobra slip on's. To be honest I wasn't going after sound, I was going for performance and fuel mileage. I had him dyno the bike before and after, and these pipes with the big suckers air filter and a dynojet kit for the carb. Being a mechanic by trade, I wanted to do all the work, but for the price he charged me for everything, I couldn't beat the price. I got to watch him dyno my bike before and after, and let me tell you, before the upgrades, horse power to the ground stock was 62, after upgrades 69, after riding the bike 80 some miles, it has a noticable difference. Dont know what it has done for fuel mileage yet, but you know it sounds AWESOME... I will up date later about the fuel mileage after I get a couple of tanks of fuel threw it. Ride safe

Very nice sound. Took about 3 hours from start to clean up to riding, BUT half of that was figuring out a few things that ended up being obvious. Instructions were just ok, but someone with more bike do it yourself would probably breeze through it. I say it because my wife helped me and we still got it done.
