I also had the EFI computer installed matching these pipes. Now this 1800 sounds like the beast that it is. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

As of right now, it took me less than half an hour to pull the stock pipes off with four key bolts. Sliding on the new ones took a little more time for me. The wrong bolt was packaged with the item to bolt the regulator bracket on the frame. I called Cobra and they were quick to answer and resolve the problem. As many have said, they do have a nice rumble to them at idle or cruising at a low idle. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I am still trying to get used to the accelerating and higher throttle though. Instead of the bub bub bub bub deep throaty sound that I am looking for, it sounds more like a ... Installed a dynojet tuner & Baron air kit, nice combination. The exhaust is fairly loud when you get on it , but mellows out nicely while cruising if tuned correctly. Now the Bike sounds like it looks and is quiet enough in the neighborhood for me to keep my friends. I didn't want TOO LOUD, and I did want throat and the sound that accompanies twisitng the throttle. No more overly tame VTX1800 Review Details 7 out of 7 members found this review helpful.
