Cobra has several full exhaust systems for the VN1600A that all have some very important features in common. For starters, they all have full-length heat shields that wrap 220 degrees around the head pipes to provide a seamless, non-bluing appearance. All systems come with standard integral removeable baffles for improved performance and just the right throaty (never harsh) sound. And there's one more Cobra exclusive: All Hi-Boy's and Lo-Boy's can be accessorized with Hot Rod Tips that can be rotated 180 degrees for a customized profile. We recommend you install a Cobra Fi2000 digital fuel processor for maximum performance.

Our Speedster pipes form a wonderful blend of traditional styling and modern performance technology. These triple-chromed, classically styled pipes feature full-length, 222-degree heat shields, chromed aluminum billet tips and are available in long, short and our brand new slashdown version. They also deliver power gains over stock that are among the highest in the business. In part those gains come from the Cobra PowerPort, our proprietary crossover technology that helps to increase overall power from idle to redline. Our engineers here at Cobra virtually lived in the dyno room testing, refining, then testing some more to get the best horsepower gains balanced with real-world rideability. The end result is our dyno-proven-and-tested PowerPort provides the kind of power increase you normally experience with a 2-into-1 system, while retaining the clean classic lines of a 2-into-2 pipe. ",TRUE,3/12/04 186,Streetrod Exhaust,"Cobra's new Streetrod exhaust sport an open-class look and sound at a mid-displacement price point. They feature large 2.5-inch, 222 degree heat shields that fit from the exhaust ports to the chromed-billet tips for a seamless look and non-bluing finish.

Got these because I liked how these looked the best and the 2 into 1 power advantage. The sound is awesome, definitely louder at idle and smooths out to a nice rumble when going at speed. Take it easy around the neighborhood. Installed mine with a Cobra Fi2000 fuel digital processor and a K&N air filter. Definitely noticed a power increase but I do get occasional backfiring. Have had mine going on 2 years and the chrome still looks great with no discoloration, chipping or bluing.

Great sounding pipes, loud when you jump on the throttle and a low rumbling sound when at idle. The chrome is outstanding.

Love these pipes! They have a similar sound to Vance and Hines Big Shots but the plus side is that they are not on every other 1600 you see on the street. First time I cranked her up I immediately thought they were too loud. But at Idle they are reasonably quiet for a performance exhaust, I'd say on the edge of acceptability of your neighbors. I think I was just so used to the stockers. Anyway, it has a nice deep rumble at idle and when you roll on the throttle they really sound muscle.Very happy with the looks and ease of installation. Make sure you install new header pipe gaskets.
