Triple-chrome, 2-1/2 inch, full-length heat shields and clean stylish lines. Tucked away behind those shields is the Cobra PowerPort which provides a performance increase similar to what you get from a 2-into-1 system. Would highly recommend purchase of a chrome swingarm cover at the same time because the arm will be exposed with these pipes. My set-up includes as SPyKER air intake with extra holes drilled in the back of the airbox, and a Factory Pro jet kit set at 215/58/clip on the 4th notch from the blunt end of the needle. With the Cobra exhaust installed I have noticed significantly better power on the low end, especially from dead stop. The bike is also noticeably better balanced - I had no idea how much weight the stock exhaust and how much right-side pull it caused until it was gone. Exhaust sound is subjective - each person has their own preference. I love the sound of the Cobras, and with the stock baffle it is just loud enough for me without being obnoxious. They design their pipes For the VTX to have the right back pressure and there is not reject or carb adjustments required. Good chrome. No discoloration after two years. Exhaust tips are removable and aftermarket available. My only complaint are the subtle dimples in the chrome where the brackets attach to the heat shields.
