(5 stars) reviewed on 01/25/07 byJim (jimstinson737) from Orlando, FL, United States, for a 2005 Midnight Blue 2000 Vulcan wrote: Just installed the Cobra Speedster Slashdowns. I preferred the looks of the V&H Powershots. I ordered the powershots and they were almost a full 1/2" off and would not fit my bike. I had assistance from a mechanic and after several hours of trying everything, we realized the pipes just were not going to fit. Through Cruiser Customizing, a 3-way call to V&H Tech support (Ryan), got me no where except extremely aggrevated. I decided the best course of action was to return the V&H and go with the Cobras. BEST DECISION I ever made! The Cobras were a breeze to install, fit perfectly, and WOW do they bark when you hit the throttle. At highway cruise speeds, they are docile and gentle on the ears, but twist that wrist and the sound is phenomenal. Like I said earlier, the pipes were just installed so I may have more "info" after spending more time with them. The install was very straight forward and I can't believe the V&H product is such a pain in the rear compared with the Cobra's. Review Details 7 out of 8 members found this review helpful. (5 stars) reviewed on 10/01/06 byGee Marsh (wgeeman) from Lawrence, KS, United States, for a 2006 Classic, Silver 2000 Vulcan wrote: Very simple install. Reused old exhaust gaskets, just flipped them 180°. Look great, sound even better. Used a previous review regarding the wobble extension and socket. There is even more room if you use a 1/4" drive wobble extension and socket. No need to loosen or even mess with the radiator. Directions were very clear. Did I say they sound good? Nice rumble at idle, but a nice roar when you hit the throttle. Review Details 4 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Took about 2 hours. The front nut on the front pipe was hard to get to! The Cobra Power module was a little difficult to install because of where it ties in. But the adjustments are extremely easy to do. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
