(2 stars) reviewed on 09/05/07 byMemphis Fire (chiefbrown) from Cordova, TN, United States, for a 2004 Red w/Black Flames 1500 Vulcan Classic wrote: Not the greatest. Spots would not adjust completely to align properly w/headlight. Chrome flaking under left spotlight. Wires to left turn signal were incorrectly placed under left spotlight bolt, caused them to short and blow fuses. When I finally figured this out, I had to cut the wires and splice a short piece in. They work now, but I definitely would not recommend them to anyone! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(3 stars) reviewed on 06/16/07 byJohn Benson (JohnVBenson) from Roseburg, OR, United States, for a 2005 1500 Vulcan Classic wrote: Have a 2006 1500 classic. Medium hard install; comes with 8 watt bulbs, bike had 5 watt bulbs on factory turn signals. Messed around trying to wire unit to high or low (3wires to headlight bulb socket); finallly decided I wanted them on all the time anyway, so wired them to a 12v wire in headlight case not directly associated with the three headlight wires. Somehow blew out my turn signal electronic box which I had to replace (5w vs 8w?). Mounting holes were off so did a cut and slash and drill to be able to mount to the correct mounting holes which are had to reach under the face plate for the headlight which I had to wedge up with a chisel to slide the mounting plate in. Maybe the other third party light bar mounts easier, it just didn't look as good in the online pictures. It still was a major PIA, but looks nice. Side note, the other third party light bar write up looks like it comes with high and low beams and its $10 more. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
